Joseph Kim, MD, is a dual certified physician in internal medicine and gastroenterology at North Texas Gastroenterology Associates PLLC, a gastroenterology and hepatology practice that has locations in Sherman and Anna, Texas.
Dr. Kim completed his undergraduate studies at Haverford College, where he majored in Biology. He then went on to study at Temple University School of Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine in 2007. Dr. Kim completed his internal medicine residency at Temple University Hospital in 2010 and his gastroenterology fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center in 2013. He underwent an additional year of training in advanced endoscopy under the mentorship of world-renowned endoscopist, Dr. David Carr-Locke, MD, FRCP, FASGE, FACG. Dr. Kim is well-published in gastroenterology literature and has authored two book chapters.
Dr. Kim grew up and practiced in the suburbs of Philadelphia for 2.5 years before moving to Texas, and he is excited to start a new chapter in his life in the north Texas area.
When he is not practicing medicine, he enjoys playing golf, playing guitar, and expanding his culinary repertoire.
